Laceration

A laceration is a deep cut or tear in the skin, often caused by
sharp objects, blunt trauma, or accidents. Unlike abrasions, which only
affect the surface, lacerations can extend into deeper tissues, including
                                muscles, tendons, and nerves.

If a laceration impacts deeper tissues, physical therapy may be necessary to
restore mobility, strength, and function. Therapists employ techniques like
scar massage, stretching, and strengthening exercises to prevent stiffness and
enhance healing. For severe injuries involving nerves or tendons, rehabilitation
aids in regaining movement and reducing long-term complications.

With appropriate care and therapy, most lacerations heal effectively,
allowing individuals to return to daily activities with minimal discomfort.
