He has practiced around the world and on various ships. Phillip obtained his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2020.As a lifelong swimmer and triathlete competitor, Phillip has implemented Aquatics programs for multiple facilities. As a Navy PT and command fitness leader, Phillip used the warrior-athlete paradigm to create rehabilitation & training programs for nearly every type of athlete recovering from injury or orthopedic surgery. Other interests include evidence-based practice adoption, task & movement analysis, strength and conditioning, applied functional capacity building for people of all levels, increasing basic function and mobility, manual therapy, spinal mobilization, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, and playing with his dog. Finally, as a combat-wounded disabled veteran, Phillip is intimately acquainted with how biopsychosocial factors can affect someone’s recovery after a life-changing injury.
